From the Misurina chairlift top station, near the mountain lodge Rifugio Col de Varda, take the prepared track on the right and follow the signs for track 120 towards the mountain lodge Rifugio Città di Carpi.

After about 1-2 hours’ walk on a particularly scenic track, you will reach the mountain lodge.

Its superb position gives you excellent views of the mountain groups Cadini di Misurina, Marmarole and Cristallo, and mount Sorapis.

For the return trip, follow the same route back. The route has no specific difficulties, except for those due to the distance, the total ascent and the variable conditions of the snow cover. It is always advisable to seek assistance from mountain guides and to check snow and weather conditions before any trip. How to reach the starting point From the centre of Cortina, take the road towards the Tre Croci-Misurina Pass.

Carry on until you reach Lake Misurina, turning right shortly before the lake in order to reach the “Col de Varda” chairlift near the skiing pistes.

Take the chairlift which will bring you to the panoramic mountain lodge Rifugio Col de Varda in just a few minutes.
